This is the first dolly we ever made (dedicated mid-year).  Note how the B and C pillar supports are placed directly on top of the rail.  There are only three cross-members in the dedicated mid-year version (instead of five in the universal base design).  The casters shown have some plastic construction, we have since changed to an all steel design.  This design used a combination of plates and gussets to hold the assembly together.  We switched to the all gusset design to minimize parts and provide more flexibility. Universal Frame design, set up for a solid-axle car.  Note the placement of the B and C pillars on the second and third cross-member (in contrast to the above picture).  The front (A pillar) supports are designed to attached to the radiator core support.  Also this unit shows the upgraded steel caster construction.
